Discussion of products brought to class.   Sample problem solving. Organization of group for long term problem.  Discussion of long term problems.

- Each team brings product to class and describes its defect.
- Brainstorm and think of questions for long term contact.

April 8 (week 2)

Assignment of Short Term Problem 1 (ST1).  Chose first leader.  Groups work on ST1 and LT

Contact with LT company representative. Definition of the long term problem.  Knowledge gathering and Brainstorming

April 10

Groups work on ST1 and LT.  Phone calls to industry representatives for long term problems as needed.

Meet with instructors to discuss needs for materials and equipment.

April 15
(week 3)

Oral questions for ST1.  Work on long term problem.

List of questions to ask for ST1 and preliminary causes/solutions

April 17

Tips on presentations.  Work on long term problem.  Final plan of work in place.

Filing of projected plan for long term problem.

April 22 (week 4)

Oral solutions for ST1. Discuss techniques, results.  Assignment of ST2. Presentation of progress on long term problem.
