  1. An Ohio company is having difficulty with the stability of their salad dressing product.  It separates into three layers shortly after manufacture.  The addition of starch to the formulation did not correct the problem.  They are looking for the least cost solution to this problem.

A company wants to challenge the market leaders in making a better protein nutrition bar using milk proteins, instead of soy.  There is a problem in that the bars start to harden within just a few weeks and become extremely hard before that end of the desired 90 day shelf-life.  They are looking for ways to improve the softness of their protein nutrition bar.
